At this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show Peugeot shows the 508 RXH. The French manufacturer will continue to work with this car especially the environmentally efficient full hybrid diesel technology.
The new model, the 508 series will set terms elegance, emotion and claim new standards and visually, technically and qualitatively the absolute top model in the series are 508er. Different design elements stand out from the 508 RXH of his brothers and sisters in the series – he’s a crossover with off-road character and luxury accents.
Already at the front you can see a new design line. The LED daytime running lights are here arranged in three rows vertically and the front spoiler is reminiscent of a predatory cat. You should make the design even more aggressive. The engine cowling is more prominent than at its sister models, which enhances the dynamic overall impression of the vehicle.
In the interior there are various color combinations and nobler materials than in the current 508er. Copper-colored accents on the decorative elements of leather and Alcantara upholstery. It is equipped with a keyless entry system for doors and locks, electrically adjustable front seats and a heads-up display. But that’s not enough, because tinted side windows, a panoramic glass roof, navigation system WIP Nav Plus and 18”-alloy wheels complement the high quality features.
The hybrid drive consists of a 120 kW / 163 hp 2.0 liter HDi diesel engine in front and a 27 kW / 37 hp electric motor back together, both of which offer a total of 450 Newton meters of torque. This provides a powerful acceleration and plenty of driving fun. At the same time, this saves a lot of fuel propulsion system. The manufacturer specifies the consumption of 4.2 liters per 100 kilometers, the CO 2 emissions lie only at 109 g / km. The Peugeot 508 RXH coming in spring 2012 on the market, prices are not yet known.
